We are a Cat Friendly Clinic
We wish all cats welcome to our clinic!
Right from the start, our clinic has been designed to cater for cats’ special needs.
We have a large, peaceful waiting room reserved specifically for our cat patients. Cats don’t like to be at floor level, and at our clinic, you can keep your cat box on the bench or put it on one of the shelves reserved for this purpose. If needed, you can take along a towel or some other piece of cloth to cover the box if your cat gets easily stressed in strange, new places or with new people and animals.
What does Cat Friendly Clinic mean?
To be able to receive title as a Cat Friendly Clinic by International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM), the clinic has to fill requirements for it : for instance high standard of equipment , separate spaces for cats and continuous education of the whole personnel about cat handling and their problems/illnesses. Educations must be reported yearly.
The easiest way to handle and treat a cat is by working on the cat’s terms, in an unhurried way while soothing it.
The cats in our day hospital are kept in their own spaces where they cannot, for example, make eye contact with another cat. We have litter trays and food (according to the situation) for cats, and we monitor their condition regularly.
